Where to spend this Halloween on the island

Where to spend this Halloween on the island – Alexandra Ellis

It’s our favourite time of year once again, spooky season!

As we enjoy the cooler temperatures and darker evenings, we start to plan our end of month soirees with the ‘afterlife’.

One thing we love about Ibiza is its dedication to planning a seriously good party, whatever the celebration.

And Halloween is no exception!

There’s no scrimping on the festivities here, that goes for both venue and costumes. The bigger and bolder the better! Or in this case, the scarier.

Here’s the low down of what’s happening and where!

Club Chinois – 31st October

After a hugely successful summer with his SHEN residency at Club Chinois, it’s hardly surprising that DJ, producer and record label owner Franky Wah has been asked to return on the 31st.

Alongside island-resident Manu Gonzalez, Trutopia and Fell Reis. ‘Night of the Shadows‘ will no doubt be one of the best Halloween parties on the island this year.  Formally Heart Ibiza, the new (2022) venue offers a superior nightlife experience, located just walking distance from the glitzy Marina Botafoch.

Lío – 28th October

There’s something about this prime-spot that creates some of the best venues in Ibiza history. The once-iconic El Divino clearly passed on some of its magic, when this stunning club opened in 2011. Lío caters to the affluent crowd, and sophisticated cabaret-fans in search of something wild and wonderful.

The bar is set high, with each year outdoing themselves in terms of music and entertainment. DJs on the night will be Nomis, Moun and Laeet.

Dress to impress, and don’t forget to bring that raucous razzle-dazzle!

Eden – 28th October

Eden has gone from strength to strength over recent years, with the arrival of a number of seriously good parties hosting their nights there. From Defected Records, Shine with Paul Van Dyk, Worried About Henry, One More Time and many more. It’s the perfect setting for a Halloween party. It’s relatively new refurb boats a mostly all-black interior, perfect for these sort of occasions.

Sunday the 29th promises a ghoulish affair, with a very kinky twist. It’s all about expressing yourself with this party, so dress for the occasion. VIP and backstage ticket holders will get access to their ‘private playroom’. Let your imagination run wild! DJs will be Davina Moss, DEFEX, Gaza Brisa, Hector, March and The Organism.

DJs on the night of the 28th will be Ty Gill, Roberto, Emma Beswick, Parris Taylor and ADYN. Bringing the fun and frolicking of the upcoming winter to life! It’s giving us the good chills!

Underground – 31st October

A spot for those looking for something a little different. A place that is all about the music, the vibe and the rawness. Neither pretentious nor overpriced.

It’s simply Underground.

Leave the attitudes at home and focus on your love of sound, as this seriously underrated venue promises a night to remember.

This will be their last dance of the season, so make it a good one!

Es Paradis – 31st October

Es Paradis is one of the oldest, and most beautiful clubs on the island. With stunning interior design and architecture. Along with a rich clubbing history dating back nearly 50 years.

Not lot of information has been released about their Halloween party yet, but it’ll be a great choice for those wanting to enjoy the frightfully-fun shenanigans from San Antonio.

There will be special guest DJs and performances on the night, and of course fancy dress fun to match.

They’ve already had a host of well-known DJs in attendance to date. Including Andrea Oliva, Martinez Brothers and Sven Väth.

Parco – 29th October

Something a little different and more authentic. A pre-celebration of the chilling (yet beautiful) ‘Dia de los Muertos‘, or Day of the Dead as we know it. A fiesta that originated in Mexico, honouring deceased relatives and loved ones.
The new, boutique clamping site in San Antonio will welcome those in search of something a little more traditional. Paying homage to Latin American culture, by offering guests an evening of traditional, festive food, live music and entertainment. It’s time to practice your Calavera (sugar skull) makeup designs and get the perfect outfit to match. We think this will be pretty special.

The Standard – 31st October

The Standard has been a popular addition to Ibiza Town, since opening last year. This coming Tuesday they’re turning things up a notch, in terms of all things freaky! A nightmarish, oceanic-theme, with extra-ordinary (and quite terrifying) underwater animators, created by talented designer Yaz XL.

Experience a mythical-menu from inside their Jara restaurant and bar, and a live DJ will be providing those iconic island-sounds from 8pm-late. You can pop in for drinks, or book a table for dinner.

Pikes – 29th, 30th & 31st October

The annual scare-fest at Pikes returns, this time for a three day extravaganza.

No-doubt the infamous ‘Haunted Hotel‘, restaurant, bar and club will have more than enough happening to keep you entertained, and on the edge of your seat (or sun lounger). There’s no creativity spared with a Pikes Halloween get-together. So if you think your outfit is creepy, times it by 10!

Tickets to the main party on the 31st sold out on the day, but that doesn’t mean you can’t book for some of their other dates. It’ll be a scream!

If you’re fancying a bit of a pre-party on the 31st, then we highly recommend heading to Flaherty’s Irish Bar in San Antonio. It’ll be their closing day for the season, and drinks will be flowing for not-so-scary prices! And plenty of special offers too!

Please note, they will be closing at midnight so the staff can head off and enjoy the celebrations around the island.

Don’t forget your costume!
