Ibiza enjoys an average of 300 days glorious sunshine a year.
Those remaining days however, often leave people feeling stuck on things to do, especially if you’re only over for a short break.
Fear not though – as we’ve come up with a list of 6 things you can get up to here, when the weather isn’t on your side.

- Go Shopping
No one really wants to spend the afternoon trawling through the streets, in the blistering heat to go shopping. That’s why the cooler days are perfect for some retail therapy, and Ibiza Town is where it’s at. Expect to find high street favourites such as Zara & Mango in the centre, right through to more native, hand-made offerings from designers in the old town of Dalt Vila. Whether you’re in-search of beautiful clothes, accessories, gifts or artwork; you’re sure to find the perfect choice for you in Eivissa. Another place which is a must visit is Sluiz in Santa Gertrudis, you won’t be disappointed, just trust us on that one!

2. Have Lunch
Currently, only the terraces are open due to the restrictions, however that is sure to change closer to summer. Even if they don’t, there’s still hundreds of restaurants on the island that provide shelter from the rain, without having to hide away indoors. We like The Boat House in the north of the island, Finca La Plaza in Santa Gerdrudis or La Cantina in San Antonio for colder days.

3. Hire a car
It’s impossible to see the whole of Ibiza without transport, which is why hiring a car is highly recommended, (if you’re the exploring kind). Take in the incredible scenery, in-between stopping off for lunch at one of the islands many, gorgeous restaurants. There are numerous hire companies here, but we recommend using OK Rent a Car.

4. Day Drinking
There’s more than enough bars here in Ibiza to keep you entertained during your holiday. Stay local, or jump in a taxi to somewhere different – and spend the afternoon enjoying your favourite cocktails with good company. One of our go-to spots for a rainy days tipple is The Old Smugglers Inn in San Antonio Bay. A family-friendly, welcoming, traditional British pub and restaurant.

5. Book a Yoga Session
Why not shake off that hangover by booking a Yoga session, with one of the islands many experienced instructors? Perfect your mountain pose, or practice the warrior, and feel energised for the day ahead. We highly recommend contacting Jennuine Fitness to book your session.

6. Read a good book
There’s plenty of books dedicated to our wonderful island, many focused on a range of subjects; from food, music, health, spirituality, history and more. One book we’d recommend if you’re into your cooking is ‘Glorious Ibiza Food (& music)‘. Author and island resident – Sid Shanti shares his recipes, which he’s developed throughout his years of working with food on the white isle.
So there you have it, 6 great things to do when the sun is having a rest here in Ibiza.
We’re sure that’ll keep you busy until it returns.
