We Brits love a good traditional Sunday roast and thankfully, there are various venues to get your hunger fix at the end of a long winter week on the island.
We’ve created a list of our favourite restaurants that serve meat, and meat-free roast dinners with all the trimmings, so you’ll be spoilt for choice on a Sunday afternoon.
We’ve gone for a bit of a mix here, from cheap and cheerful to slightly pushing out the boat. There’s something for everyone to get their teeth into from the list below!
1. Casa Maca
The stunning Mambo Group’s rustic hotel is located in the hills of Can Palau, (just outside of Ibiza Town) and it serves gorgeous home cooked Sunday lunches from 12.30pm. Included is a ‘Spicy’ Bloody Mary, plus a succulent choice of meat and veg options. If that’s not enough to tickle your fancy, the magnificent views towards Ibiza’s Old Town are available from the comfort of your own seat. Perfect winter dining, surrounded by nature.

2. BN3 Restaurant
The famous 90’s pre-party bar located in Cala de Bou has recently rebranded the eatery next door, and we gladly welcome…BN3 Restaurant! Locally renowned expat ‘Chef Ned’ is the brains behind the menu, and his Sunday lunches are by far one of the best we’ve ever had. He won’t tell us his secret ingredient for his outstanding gravy, but it tops this well-loved masterpiece off perfectly and has diners returning week after week. Expect GIANT Yorkshire puddings, lamb shanks that simply fall off the bone and that gravy, oh that gravy! The desserts are pretty amazing too! Available from 12pm every Sunday with one, two or three courses available.

3. The Ship Inn
The Ship needs little introduction. The well-loved pub come restaurant at the top of the West End in San Antonio has long been a favourite with workers and residents alike for many, many years. Their food and of course, impeccable banter is what keeps the residents returning during the winter time. Their roasts really are something to rave about too. Everything tastes so fresh, and the portions are most definitely not shy! What’s more, unlike other venues, you get a free bottle of wine per every couple ordering a 2 course meal. How’s that for generous? Bottoms up!

4. Factory Bar & Smokehouse
Situated in the Montecristo estate near to Amnesia in San Rafael, Factory Smokehouse has been a firm fixture on the islands culinary circuit since 2017. From 1pm-6pm every Sunday you can marvel in the gastronomic whirlwind that is every carnivores dream, Factory Bar and Smokehouse. Whilst it’s a favourite with meat-eaters, the venue also caters for vegans and vegetarians, making it appealing to all types of palate. Whilst their roasts are at the higher end of the price list, they don’t disappoint with their generous portions and wonderfully relaxed atmosphere.

5. Flaherty’s Irish Pub
If you’re into those places that gives you a ‘home-away’ feel, then Flaherty’s is the one for you. Located right along the harbour front in San Antonio, the popular (and very spacious) restaurant and bar welcomes all to enjoy their comfort-food friendly lunches every Sunday. The whole family can indulge in food and drink without it breaking the bank which makes it all the more popular for larger groups with little ones in tow.

6. The Social
Another San An favourite (we’re biased to our ‘home turf’) is the Social! The chilled out, no frills venue offers a relaxed vibe for your lunchtimes, and their roasts are an exceptionally good price too. Whilst some other restaurants tend to be slightly more expensive for the Sunday dinners, The Social keeps in tone with its ‘worker friendly’ prices, and for just 12€ you can enjoy yours along with a free drink! You can’t really get fairer than that now can you?

7. The Queen Vic
St Eulalia is one of the few places that stays open year round on Ibiza. With a large British expat community, the east coast of the island is home to family run pub, The Queen Vic. From 1pm-6pm every Sunday you can enjoy a simple traditional Roast from as little as 11.50€ for their Lamb option. Each meal is served with three different veg, roast and mash potatoes, stuffing and gravy. There’s also vegetarian options available plus a range of desserts, in case you’ve got room for afters. The Queen Vic is a fantastic ‘local’ type pub that gives you a warm welcome as soon as you walk through the door and is excellent value for money.

8. Project Social
Another one for you in St Eulalia, (located just a short stroll from the port), is the popular quirky bar and eatery owned by siblings James and Kate Parfitt and colleague Rodrigo da Silva. With their hospitality experience previously based in London, they know how to keep a Brit happy on a Sunday and this comes in form of a seriously good looking Roast Dinner! Packed with attitude and of course, fresh ingredients, Project Socials offering definitely deserves a round of applause for their exceptional efforts!

9. Can Mimosa
Located in the stunning village of Santa Gertrudis, the 200 year-old Finca (now restaurant) offers locally sourced, high quality ingredients, and quite possibly one of the best Sunday Roasts on the island for a very reasonable price. With Vegan and Vegetarian options, they ensure that everyone is satisfied with their menu choice. With beautiful outdoor (and indoor seating) you can waste the afternoon away with friends and family over a bottle of vino, in true Mediterranean style (minus the British dinner of course).

9. FortyFives
Whilst the vast majority of businesses in Playa den Bossa close during the winter months, there is one that has powered on through since 2015, come rain or shine, and that is the mighty FortyFives. If it’s lunch with a view you’re after then this is the place to be. FortyFives dishes up five star roasts each week from their seafront location, and it’s the perfect spot to visit with the family on a sunny winter afternoon. Fantastic Sunday dining, available from 12pm.
