Coppa Club London – Review

Coppa Club London – Alexandra Ellis

Cold winter nights are either for hibernating indoors, or enjoying a good meal out!

With views over towards the famous Tower of London Coppa Club is a great dining spot for date night, or to enjoy dinner with friends and family.

Upon arrival we were seated inside the large, spacious restaurant towards the open kitchen area.

A vibrant atmosphere full of laughing and good conversation.

Upon receiving the menu, we were a little stuck on what to choose. A good selection!

Eventually we decided, and here’s what we picked:

DRINKS

Two glasses of Laurent-Perrier champagne, we were celebrating a birthday after all. With strawberries may we add? Beautiful.

STARTERS

We ordered crispy fried squid with sriracha mayo, lemon & Paprika,
Seared king prawns (4) with garlic, lemon, chilli & extra virgin olive oil,
and garlic bread.

MAINS

We went for the corn-fed chicken in lemon and rosemary juices, house coleslaw and skinny fries.

Our starters arrived in good time, and we were ready to tuck in!

The garlic bread was more of a focaccia. Which we love, so we were more than happy with that.  Not too heavy on the garlic, although the more the merrier!

We love bread for starters and sometimes over indulge, which often leads to a bit of a struggle when the mains arrive. However, the portion size was just right.

The prawns were divine (pun intended). Shell on, covered in garlic, lemon, and chilli. They were cooked to perfection!

Two each was just enough for us. Served with a slice of lemon to drizzle.

COPPA CLUB LONDON PROVIDES THE RIGHT COMBINATION

We’re big fans of squid, and this one didn’t disappoint.

Sometimes squid can be a little too chewy if overcooked, this was just right.

The creamy sriracha mayo added a superb texture once in the mouth.

The mains were wonderful. The chicken was fresh, bursting with flavour and just the right side, especially after all that bread!

The chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, just the way we like them!

We were full so couldn’t manage dessert, but we’re sure we would have enjoyed those as well!

All in all it was well worth the visit, and we’ll be heading back on our next visit to London!
